    York Habitat is pleased to participate in Give Local York for the 5th year.

    This year, we are focused funding the Homeowner Program. As the quintessential component of Habitat for Humanity, all applicants experience 12-24 months of educational courses preparing them to purchase their Habitat home. These classes are designed to educate applicants in financial literacy and other first-time homebuyer needs (basic home repair, healthy eating, etc.). This education is something that will stick with the families for years to come, making it less likely that the family will fall back into a place of need again.
