BE A HERO FOR THOSE IN NEED DURING THIS YEAR'S 5k RUN/WALK!

In the first week at her new school, 8-year-old Jadyn was asked to write an essay answering the question "Who is Your Hero?" Without hesitation, she named "York Habitat for Humanity!" Why? A little over 18 months ago, Jayden's momma, Tonya, and her four children were living in a cramped, unhealthy, expensive apartment in an unsafe neighborhood She worked hard and made sure her kids behaved and did well in school, but she was stuck. She couldn't afford a larger place for her family, and the banks wouldn't approve her for a mortgage because of her income. Then, she heard about York Habitat for Humanity! She applied, qualified, and worked diligently to meet all program requirements over the next 18 months.

Today, because of you, Jadyn and her family were able to purchase a safe, modest, affordable Habitat home in a great neighborhood with good schools. Tonya can afford her mortgage payment, taxes, and other basic needs, because the Hero In You GAVE and made it possible for York Habitat to build their home. Today, for the first time, Jadyn has her very own bedroom. Thank you!

We partner with families to extend a hand up, never a hand out, but we can't do it without you! Like Tonya and her children, there are over 80,000 more people in York County living in poverty, and they're hoping, wishing and praying for a HERO to emerge for them too. Your donation literally stops the storms of poverty in the lives of hard working families. Please SHOW OFF YOUR SUPER POWERS BY REGISTERING TO BE A HERO FOR THOSE IN NEED DURING THIS YEAR'S 5K RUN/WALK! And as always, thank you for your support.
